fix: OutlineInputBorder not respecting BorderSide stroke alignment (#180487)
This PR fixes `OutlineInputBorder` to properly respect the strokeAlign property of `BorderSide`. Previously, the border was always drawn as if strokeAlign was set to strokeAlignInside, regardless of the actual value specified. [Material] Remove Material import from backdrop_filter_test.dart widget tests (#181386)

Split the tests into two files: - Widgets tests (packages/flutter/test/widgets/backdrop_filter_test.dart): * Removed Material import, now uses widgets-only * Replaced MaterialApp + Scaffold with Directionality wrapper * Replaced Colors.black.withAlpha(40) with Color(0x28000000) * Kept 2 tests that validate BackdropFilter key behavior - Material tests (packages/flutter/test/material/backdrop_filter_test.dart): * Moved 4 Material-specific golden file tests (M2/M3 comparisons) * These tests require Material theming to validate rendering differences - Updated dev/bots/check_tests_cross_imports.dart to remove backdrop_filter_test.dart This approach keeps Material-specific tests in the material directory while enabling the simple widget tests to pass without Material dependencies. Reduce reliance on Material in page_transitions_test.dart (#181467)
This PR reduces the reliance on Material in page_transitions_test.dart but does not entirely remove it. 1) Moves a test for persistent bottom sheet to the right file 2) Fixes a use of `sync*` (not sure why this is not caught by dev/bots/analyze.dart, that _does_ check for `sync*` cc @Piinks ) 3) Replaces some easy usages of Material widgets with its widget counterparts. The only thing that I did not yet fix is replacing `MaterialApp` in this file. That probably needs @victorsanni 's work on page transitions to be addressed first? Remove material from slivers_appbar_floating_pinned_test.dart + slivers_appbar_stretch_test.dart + sliver_persistent_header_test.dart + slivers_appbar_floating_test.dart (#181469)
This PR cleans up material imports in slivers_appbar_floating_pinned_test.dart (this was actually testing `SliverPinnedHeader` ?) and moves tests from `test/widgets/slivers_appbar_stretch_test.dart` to the right test file under the Material tests. A bunch of tests have been moved 1 to 1 to their new destination. Some test code was deduplicated and a bunch of tests had their names fixed. Except for one test that needed an updated `find` expression, due to a change in one of the `SliverPersistentHeaderDelegate`s, nothing was semantically changed in the tests that were updated in this PR. Add TestTextField and migrate tests (#180494)

This pull request deprecates the old `onReorder` callback of `ReorderableList` / `SliverReorderableList` / `ReorderableListView`, in favor of a new callback, `onReorderItem`, that does the index correction as mentioned in the docs at https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/widgets/ReorderCallback.html I added tests to ensure that the old callback is preferred when both are provided and tests that assert that the new callback does the index correction correctly. I also noticed that some tests used empty callbacks for `onReorder`, those have been updated to use wildcards in a consistent manner. I did not opt into making a design doc, since the change itself is very small, that will also be apparent in the migration guide that I am going to write. Add isDark, isLight, and isSystem getters to ThemeMode (#181475)
Adds boolean convenience getters (`isDark`, `isLight`, `isSystem`) to
`ThemeMode`.
This change improves readability and ergonomics when branching on
`ThemeMode` values by
providing named, self-documenting getters instead of repeated equality
checks
(e.g. `themeMode == ThemeMode.dark`). The addition is non-breaking and
does not
change any existing behavior.
Example:
Before:
if (themeMode == ThemeMode.dark) {
...
}
After:
if (themeMode.isDark) {
...
}
No tests were added as this change introduces simple enum getters with
no logic
beyond value comparison and does not alter runtime behavior.

* Adds MD3 animations to MenuAnchor. * Adds a "hoverOpenDelay" parameter on `SubmenuButton` * Moves the layout algorithm from SingleChildLayoutDelegate to a custom render object. <s>This was done because I needed to access the dry layout of the menu panel for the best effect. I'll demonstrate below.</s> Turns out using dry layout significantly limits what children you can use with a widget. As a result, I'm calculating the final height using the inverse height factor. Fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/135025 I don't have access to the internal Google documentation, so I did my best to deduce the spec from https://github.com/material-components/material-web/blob/main/menu/internal/menu.ts. This change is currently opt-in via an `animated` parameter on `MenuAnchor` and `SubmenuButton`. As a result, this is not a breaking change. Because the PR is already quite large, I chose to not add animation customization to this PR. I also didn't change any theming files or `DropdownMenu`. The only other API addition is a `hoverOpenDelay` parameter on `SubmenuButton`. This parameter delays the start of a submenu opening by the specified duration. It is independent of the `animated` parameter. When `animated == false`, the menu runs its forward and reverse animations with a duration of 0. Send statusBarTouch events via dedicated messages (#179643)
Instead of using fake touch events. Before this patch `FlutterViewController` sends two fake touch events (down and up), at `(0, 0)` to the framework to signal that the status bar is tapped on iOS. The scaffold widget and the cupertino page scaffold widget set up gesture detectors to listen for these fake taps, and scroll the "primary" scrollable container to the top in response. This messaging mechanism is sometimes ambiguous, as the framework may interpret that as a pair of regular pointer tap events (for instance in #177992 the modal barrier claims the tap gesture and as a result the modal barrier is dismissed by the fake touch events). This PR changes that to communicate the status bar tap event via a new system channel, and dispatch the events via `WidgetsBindingObserver`s in the framework. [Material] update hourFormat to use Dart 3 switch expression (#181041)
While I was looking through `time.dart`, I noticed that `hourFormat` was still using the old switch-case style with a lot of boilerplate. Since we are moving towards Dart 3 patterns, I thought it'd be a good idea to swap this out for a switch expression. It's much cleaner now and handles the `TimeOfDayFormat` mapping in just a few lines. I also realized there weren't any direct tests for this specific function (it was mostly covered by larger integration tests), so I added a small test group in `time_test.dart` to make sure every enum value maps to the right `HourFormat` correctly. Fix DropdownMenuEntry.style not resolved when entry is highlighted (#178873)
## Description This PR adds logic to resolve `DropdownMenuEntry.style` properties with the correct `WidgetState` when an item is highlighted. When `MenuItemButton` are highlighted the focused state is not added automatically because the focus does not move to the items (it stays on the `TextField` in order to let the user enters text to filter the items list). This PR sets the `MenuItemButton.statesController` with a forced focused state to let `MenuItemButton` know that the focused state should be use to resolve the properties. ## Related Issue Fixes [DropdownMenuEntry style's text style is not resolving with states](https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/177363) ## Tests - Adds 1 tests. |

Some cleanup of cross library test imports (#177029)
There is a lot of cross-library importing in the framework unit tests that I'd like to clean up, see the design doc for more: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UHxALQqCbmgjnM1RNV9xE2pK3IGyx-UktGX1D7hYCjs/edit?tab=t.0 This PR cleans up a few obvious instances and adds TODOs for others. I created this while doing an investigation for the design doc linked above. I hope that we'll be able to follow up with fixes for all of the problematic tests (tracked in the issue below). Add Adwaita Sans as a font fallback on Linux (#179144)
Gnome 48 (from March 2025) switched its default font from `Cantarell` to `Adwaita Sans`: https://blogs.gnome.org/monster/introducing-adwaita-fonts/. This PR adds `Adwaita Sans` to the Linux font fallbacks list: `Adwaita Sans` will be used instead of `Cantarell` if available. Reland: Add framework-side hitTestBehavior support to Semantics (#178817) (#179352)
This is a reland of #178817, which was reverted in #179100 due to test failures. The original PR introduced `hitTestBehavior` to the semantics framework but incorrectly applied `opaque` behavior to `ModalRoute`, which blocked platform views from receiving pointer events. Reimplemented StretchingOverscrollIndicator with Simulation ported from Android 12. (#173849)
Fixed an issue #169659 This PR improves the StretchingOverscrollIndicator to better match native Android behavior. - Previously, the stretch effect worked well only for slow dragging, and during fast flings it was absent or felt clipped. - Implemented a Simulation-based animation that responds naturally to both slow drags and high-velocity flings. - The result closely resembles the native Android overscroll behavior while maintaining Flutter's performance characteristics.
