Listen to text spacing overrides on the web (#178081)
Original PR/Discussion: https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/172915

# Framework:
* `EditableText`/`SelectableText`, applies
`lineHeightScaleFactorOverride`, `wordSpacingOverride`, and
`letterSpacingOverride` to it's `TextStyle` similarly to how we already
do for bold platform overrides. Note `SelectableText` is built on
`EditableText` so it also applies these overrides.
* `Text`, applies `lineHeightScaleFactorOverride`,
`wordSpacingOverride`, and `letterSpacingOverride` to it's `TextStyle`
similarly to how we already do for bold platform overrides.
* Exposes line height override through
`MediaQueryData.lineHeightScaleFactorOverride` and
`maybeLineHeightScaleFactorOverrideOf(context)`.
* Exposes letter spacing override through
`MediaQueryData.letterSpacingOverride` and
`maybeLetterSpacingOverrideOf(context)`.
* Exposes word spacing override through
`MediaQueryData.wordSpacingOverride` and
`maybeWordSpacingOverrideOf(context)`.
* Exposes paragraph spacing override through
`MediaQueryData.paragraphSpacingOverride` and
`maybeParagraphSpacingOverrideOf(context)`.
* `MediaQuery.applyTextStyleOverrides()` \
`MediaQueryData.applyTextStyleOverrides()` to be able to reset/override
the text spacing settings on `MediaQueryData`.

# Engine:
* Introduces new members on `PlatformDispatcher` API that hold the text
spacing properties that are overridden on the web.
* We provide the `lineHeightScaleFactorOverride`,
`letterSpacingOverride`, `wordSpacingOverride`, and
`paragraphSpacingOverride` on the web by attaching a `ResizeObserver` to
an off-screen hidden element, when its size changes we capture its text
spacing CSS properties, and notify the framework through
`onMetricsChanged`.

Add DeviceOrientationBuilder widget by MediaQuery orientation (#177437)

 ## Issues Fixed

  Fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/177435

On foldable Android devices, `OrientationBuilder` and
`MediaQuery.orientation` can report different orientations.
`OrientationBuilder` calculates orientation from layout constraints
(width vs height),
while `MediaQuery` reports the actual device orientation from the
platform. This PR adds a new `DeviceOrientationBuilder` widget that uses
`MediaQuery.orientationOf()` to ensure consistency with the
  device's actual orientation.

  ## Breaking Changes

No breaking changes. This PR does not modify any existing code in the
flutter/tests repo or require a migration guide.

Remove WindowingOwner.hasTopLevelWindows (#178033)
This function doesn't seem to serve any purpose.
Top level is not a term we are currently using in the multi window code.
If we want to track if we have open windows, this can be done in the
Flutter framework - it doesn't need to be done at the platform level.

Fix ReorderableList items jumping when drag direction reverses mid-animation (#173241)
When rapidly dragging items in a ReorderableList before animations
complete, items would jump to their expected positions rather than
smoothly transitioning.

## Problem

<p align="center">
<img
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/0efb250c-2960-4942-959f-59eccc20cefb"
alt="demo2" width="250">
</p>

The issue occurs when a reorder animation is interrupted by starting a
new drag operation. The interrupted animation would reset to the
starting position of the original animation rather than capturing the
current animated position, causing a visual jump.

## Solution

This PR fixes the issue by:
1. Storing the previous target offset before updating to a new target
2. When an animation is interrupted, calculating the actual current
position based on the animation's progress
3. Using this calculated position as the new starting point for the next
animation

<p align="center">
<img
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c24e4834-1c6b-41c1-8f44-17b4c79e0993"
alt="demo2" width="250">
</p>

This PR is part of a series of `ReorderableList` enhancements I've
developed for [TimeFinder](https://timefinder.app):
- #172740
- #172380
- #172739
- #172738

Fixes #173243

## Code Changes

```dart
// Before
_startOffset = offset;
// After
final double currentAnimValue = Curves.easeInOut.transform(_offsetAnimation\!.value);
final Offset currentPosition = Offset.lerp(_startOffset, previousTarget, currentAnimValue)\!;
_startOffset = currentPosition;
```

This ensures smooth transitions without visual jumping, making rapid
reordering gestures feel more responsive and natural.

Add blockAccessibilityFocus flag (#175551)
Add a new flag for a11y focusable

- Accessibility focus, which is the focus used by screen readers like
TalkBack and VoiceOver, is different from input focus.
- Our current logic use some existing flags to decide if a node is
accessibilty focusable. like "if it's a slider / has a check state / has
keyboard focus/..., then it's a11y focusable"
ecbb115ae3/engine/src/flutter/shell/platform/android/io/flutter/view/AccessibilityBridge.java (L98)
- but we lack the ability to explicitly set a node to be unfocusable in
a11y!
- This flag can be used to explicitly set some semantics nodes to be
unfocusable in a11y mode. if it is false, we fall back to the logic "if
it's a slider / has a check state / has keyboard focus/..., then it's
a11y focusable"

future use case 1:
user can set live region to be not focusable, so when content changes,
it will still announce, but the content can't be focused by swiping.
future use case 2:
when pushing a new route like a dialog, setting the semantics nodes in
old pages to be un focusable.

Refactor OverlayPortal semantics (#173005)
Fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/163576
Fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/175184

This PR refactored the grafting part on `OverlayPortal`. Originally, the
semantics tree of `OverlayPortal` was constructed/grafted in render
object phase to make sure the correctness of the traversal order.
However this resulted wrong hit-test order and the issue surfaced on
web. With the fact that on web we are not able to graft/correct hit-test
order tree, this PR:
* Reverts the original grafting of the `OverlayPortal` so the hit-test
order is always correct.
* Then, we adds the grafting and updates the traversal order when we
send `childrenInTraversalOrder` to engine.
* Updating `childrenInTraversalOrder` causes it have different length
from the length of `childrenInHitTestOrder` and wrong hit-test transform
of the `OverlayPortal` children because when the transform is
calculated, it assumes a correct traversal order. To fix these issues,
this PR also:
  * recalculates the transform for `OverlayPortal` children.
  * adds `hitTestTransform` property and pass it to Android engine.
* skip grafting for web because it assumes the same length of
`childrenInTraversalOrder` and `childrenInHitTestOrder`.
* added grafting by using `ARIA-owns` in web engine to fix the traversal
order.

Fix EditableText _justResumed is not accurate (#177658)
## Description

This PR tweaks the selection logic added in
https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/157399.
Before this PR (and since
https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/157399) when the app resumed
while a TextField was selected the selection of the TextField is
maintained. This is the right behavior for the currently focused
TextField. But when there are several TextFields, after the app resumed
and the user move the focus to a another TextField, the behavior should
be to select all the content of the newly focused TextField. To achieve
this the `_justResumed`flag added in
https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/157399 should be reset as soon
as the focus move as it is needed only for the current focused TextField
to restore its selection just after the app resumed.

Fix(AnimatedScrollView): exclude outgoing items in removeAllItems (#176452)
<!--

Fix: #176362

Issue provided reproducible code related to exception being thrown when
removing all items in an `AnimatedList` when some of the item were
already being removed but had a long animation duration.

In this PR: The `removeAllItems` method now correctly calculates the
range of items to remove, excluding those already undergoing a removal
animation. This prevents an assert from triggering when `removeAllItems`
is called while other items are still being removed.

[a11y] fix table semantics cache for cells (#177073)
will fix https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/170575
The issue is caused by:

when caching the cell wrapper semantics nodes in table, it's using cell
index to cache them in a map. But the cell index class was not set to
immutable and override the `==`, so the cache logic was wrong, they were
always creating new semantics nodes for cell wrapper.

fixing this by fixing the index class to an immutable value type with
proper == and hashCode

Refactor: Convert Title widget to StatefulWidget (#176010)
Fix: #176008

The Title widget was previously a `StatelessWidget`. This change
converts it to a `StatefulWidget` to allow it to update the application
switcher description when its `title` or `color` properties change.

- The `_updateChrome` method is introduced to encapsulate the call to
`SystemChrome.setApplicationSwitcherDescription`.
- `initState` now calls `_updateChrome` to set the initial description.
- `didUpdateWidget` checks if `title` or `color` have changed and calls
`_updateChrome` accordingly.
- The `build` method now simply returns `widget.child`.
- Property access in `debugFillProperties` is updated to use
`widget.propertyName`.

Tapping outside of SelectableRegion should dismiss the selection (#176843)
This PR updates selectable region so it dismisses the selection when a

SelectableRegion should not show flutter rendered context menu when web context menu is enabled (#176855)
This change fixes an issue where the flutter rendered menu would show up
when ending a drag on a selection handle, even when the web context menu
was enabled. This led to issues where both context menus would show up
leading to a unfavorable experience.

Fixes #175114

feat: add OptionsViewOpenDirection.mostSpace to RawAutocomplete (#172997)
This PR changes the default value of
`RawAutocomplete.optionsViewOpenDirection` from
`OptionsViewOpenDirection.down` to `OptionsViewOpenDirection.mostSpace`.

When `optionsViewOpenDirection` is set to `mostSpace`, the options view
will open in the direction with the most available space. This behavior
is determined by comparing the space above and below the text field.

The commit also updates the logic for calculating `optionsViewMaxHeight`
and `originY` to handle the new `mostSpace` option, and ensures that the
`switch` statement for `alignment` correctly handles this new case.

fix: 🐛 Add equality and hashCode implementations to ScrollAwareImageProvider (#175038)
### Description
This PR adds `==` and `hashCode` implementations to
**`ScrollAwareImageProvider`**.

According to the [`ImageProvider`
documentation](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/painting/ImageProvider-class.html):

> It should be immutable and implement the
[==](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/painting/dart-core/Object/operator_equals.html)
operator and the
[hashCode](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/painting/dart-core/Object/hashCode.html)
getter.

`ScrollAwareImageProvider` did not previously override these, which
could result in instances with identical configuration being treated as
unequal. This behavior can negatively impact image caching and equality
checks.

With this change, `ScrollAwareImageProvider` now conforms to the
`ImageProvider` contract.

Fix RadioButton is not vocalized as unselected by VoiceOver (#175926)
### Issue
- Fix https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/170422

### Description

This PR proposes a fix by adding a hint to Semantics here:

b220f5a2ab/packages/flutter/lib/src/widgets/raw_radio.dart (L217-L222)

The hint is only available on iOS &macOS platforms with a localized
string for `unselected` state to prevent regression on Android, which
works as expected currently and this seems to be the only solution as
investigated below ⬇️

<details open>
<summary>Demo the fix</summary>

https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/56c1c6c9-5178-45be-a633-47145a0543d6

</details>

#### Why can't we make it simpler with Semantics flags only?

- I looked at
[UIAccessibilityTraits](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiaccessibilitytraits),
it seems the
[selected](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiaccessibilitytraits/selected)
property does announce `selected` state, but it does not mention or give
hints for `unselected` state.
-
[L824-L828](e8bef98051/engine/src/flutter/shell/platform/darwin/ios/framework/Source/SemanticsObject.mm (L824-L828))
in Flutter source code does mention radio button: Looks like I can try
marking both toggle and check, but it's impossible, due to an assertion:
[A semantics node cannot be toggled and checked at the same
time](35375e43fb/packages/flutter/lib/src/rendering/object.dart (L4807-L4809))

➡️ Not sure which flags can trigger `unselected` state implicitly.

#### How do iOS native apps work?

I did test with two approaches:

1. iOS Reminders app:
VoiceOver vocalizes as follows:
Unchecked radio: "...Incomplete..."
checked radio:"...Completed..."

<details>
<summary>Demo video</summary>

https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/6bed5d14-ded8-47c2-9c09-7afc266898cc

</details>

2. Build Radio with SwiftUI

Looks like [there is no built-in widget for Radio provided by
Apple](https://www.reddit.com/r/SwiftUI/comments/1gsh7zo/does_swiftui_have_a_builtin_radiobutton_in_2024/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
[Is it really a native iOS
component?](https://www.reddit.com/r/SwiftUI/comments/1gsh7zo/comment/lxea1uf/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

Most of results I have found suggest building radio from a button with
changing image source(selected/unselected, respectively), as I do in
this SwiftUI code here:
https://gist.github.com/huycozy/93b12c030651c4fde6fe8fceda1ba1ee. We can
control what the reader vocalizes by setting traits and value for it
manually. This being said, setting accessibility hint or value from
Flutter side makes sense in this case. Please let me know if I am
missing something.

Selecting an implementation widget with the on-device inspector opens the code location for the nearest project widget (#176530)
Fixes https://github.com/flutter/devtools/issues/9252

Previously, if a user selected a widget that was not created in their
project files using the on-device inspector, we would open the code
location for that widget. Now, we open the code location of the nearest
ancestor widget in their project files. (e.g., a user selects `RichText`
in the framework, we open the `Text` widget in their project)

Users can still open the code location for a Flutter framework or
third-party package widget by explicitly selecting it in the DevTools
widget tree. See more details/rationale on issue comment
https://github.com/flutter/devtools/issues/9252#issuecomment-3368491936

_Note: This resolves one of the top user complaints in the 2025 DevTools
user survey._

Implement framework interface for the dialog window archetype (#176202)
## What's new?
- 🍏 Added the concept of dialogs to the windowing API. New
symbols:
   - `DialogWindowControllerDelegate`
   - `DialogWindowController`
   - `WindowingOwner.createDialogWindowController`
   - `DialogWindow`
   - `WindowControllerCommon`
- 🥘 Introduced the `WindowControllerCommon` mixin to
share common windowing functionality between controller types
- I have NOT yet implemented dialogs. This pull request ONLY adds the
idea to the API. Win32 implementation to follow :)

[a11y] Add expanded flag support to Android. (#174981)
Closes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/92040

- Adds `expanded` semantics flag support to Android
- Adds `onExpand` and `onCollapse` semantics actions
- Updates `robolectric` library
- Adds java and dart tests

#### Why were `onExpand` and `onCollapse` actions added?
It turned out that TalkBack doesn't announce the `expanded` state if
`expand/collapse` action is not set for the accessibility node.

#### Why was the `robolectric` library updated?

The `expanded` state support in Android was introduced in API 36. The
`roboelectric: 4.14.1` doesn't support API 36. To run tests for a newly
added functionality `roboelectric` library was updated to `4.16`, which
supports the latest Android version
(https://github.com/robolectric/robolectric/releases/tag/robolectric-4.16).

In case you think it would be better to update the `roboelectric` in a
separate PR, please let me know.

Implement Regular Windows for the win32 framework + add an example application for regular windows (#173715)
## What's new?
- Implement and test `_window_win32.dart`, the Win32 implementation of
`_window.dart` 🎉
- Wrote a bunch of tests in `window_win32_test.dart` which uses a mock
API barrier to mock the native Win32 layer
- Update `BaseWindowController` to extend `ChangeNotifier` and use it to
inform the `WindowScope` of when things change
- Made `RegularWindowController.empty()` a non-internal constructor, as
it is needed by implementations
- Added a _large_ example application for windowing where users can test
out different windowing concepts and see how they work!

To test, simply run the tests or try out the example app!

fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/170250

The original issue is that when a page gets stuck in the adding stage
due to top-level animation is still ongoing, removing that route causes
it to be in a inconsistent state. While fixing this issue, I also do
some clean up on the onDidRemovePage logic because the existing logic
can't handle this kind of operation

Add an assertion for the relationship between Visibility.maintainState and Visibility.maintainFocusability (#175552)
This change adds an assertion for the relationship between
`Visibility.maintainState` and `Visibility.maintainFocusability`.
Setting `maintainFocusability` to `true` is a no-op if `maintainState`
is set to `false`, so we should add a helpful assertion here.

Correctly implement PlatformViews' cursors on Web (#174300)
Fix https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/174246

This PR is not a result of a thorough fix for mouse cursors on all
platforms, but simply matching the behavior of `SelectionArea` on Web to
that on non-Web.

A central question lies how a platform view widget should control the
mouse cursor. On the surface, the answer is simple: it doesn't, and let
the view content to control (hence the `MouseCursor.uncontrolled`
constant). But what if the empty region of the view content doesn't
control the cursor at all? This would be a problem even on non-Web,
because if neither the view content nor the view controls the cursor on
non-Web, then the user will find the cursor remaining the one used by
the last region, which would be different when entering and when
leaving, the same bug as
https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/174246 . On the other hand,
what is it supposed to fall back to if the view content doesn't define a
cursor? Is the default cursor the logically correct option? ...

I decided that I did not want to dig too much into the details, and
instead focus on this specific issue. I tried the repro app on macOS and
found that the empty region of `SelectionArea` falls back to the widget
behind it, the same behavior as `MouseCursor.defer`. Therefore in this
PR I made `MouseCursor.uncontrolled` essentially the same as `.defer` on
Web, matching the behavior across platforms.

Fix RadioGroup single selection check. (#175654)
Fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/175258

### Description

This PR fixes the single selection check in `RadioGroup` by delaying it
to the next frame, which ensures that all `registerClient` and
`unregisterClient` calls are processed.

The same pattern can be found in
`_TabBarState._debugScheduleCheckHasValidTabsCount` and
`RawScrollbarState._debugScheduleCheckHasValidScrollPosition`.
