Make a11y computeChildGeometry slightly faster (#177477)
This is not a fix for #166173, it's only a by-product. The fix will be in separate PR, this includes the unrelated code changes to make that PR smaller. Fix Image.network not using cache when headers are specified (#176831)
Fix a bug introduced by 97aae2ad3 (#171916), where `hashCode` is giving different results for values which `==` says are equal. Fully uniform borders (existing optimized path) 2. Outer borders with uniform colors but non-uniform widths (new non-uniform border radius support) 3. fix: 🐛 Add equality and hashCode implementations to ResizeImage (#172643)
This PR adds implementations for `==` and `hashCode` in the `ResizeImage` class. #### Reason Previously, `ResizeImage` instances with identical configuration (e.g., same width, height, image provider, and allowUpscaling flag) were not treated as equal. add debugPaintTextLayoutBoxes for debugging text layout (#168876)
Text vertical alignment is a common complaint and one of the most common
causes is different type faces being used in the same paragraph (for
instance, when there's English / Arabic in the same paragraph so the
default font doesn't contain the required glyphs for some characters).
Hopefully this flag is going to make debugging alignment issues a bit
easier, and in some github issues attaching screenshots with the flag on
will be helpful for diagnosing the issue.

[Impeller] Fix the algorithm for building paths for RSuperellipses with sharp corners (#171351)
Fixes https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/170593. The problem was caused by errors in the path building algorithm that handles sharp corners and unequal width/height. (Honestly the errors for the `scale_sign` part and the transform matrix part were kind of embarrassing. Avoid using a Key whose only purpose is to be looked up in a test (#170952)
This PR investigates moving away from the few places where we rely on Keys to instead solely look up a widget in a test. Reasons: * No extra stuff in users' apps that they don't need for production. * Avoid collisions between Keys in users' apps that might have the same identifier string. Fix gestures not being recognized in <img>-backed NetworkImages (#171190)
On the web, when a `NetworkImage` falls back to an `<img>` element-backed implementation, the gesture events were being lost because the underlying Platform View had `PlatformViewHitTestBehavior.opaque` (the default). This changes it to `PlatformViewHitTestBehavior.transparent` so the gestures are handled by parent widgets. Allow the Slider to always show the value indicator. (#162223)
Fixes: #34704 Modified enum `ShowValueIndicator` before: ```dart enum ShowValueIndicator { onlyForDiscrete, onlyForContinuous, always, never, } ``` after: ```dart enum ShowValueIndicator { onlyForDiscrete, onlyForContinuous, @Deprecated( 'Use ShowValueIndicator.onDrag. ' 'This feature was deprecated after v3.28.0-1.0.pre.', ) always, onDrag, alwaysVisible, never, } ``` To maintain previous behavior, `ShowValueIndicator.onlyForDiscrete` and `ShowValueIndicator.onlyForContinuous` are still retained. The behavior of `ShowValueIndicator.always` remains consistent with the previous implementation, but it is marked as deprecated and should be replaced with `ShowValueIndicator.onDrag`. A new `ShowValueIndicator.alwaysVisible` has been added to show the value indicator even when not dragging. The equality of 2 `SystemTextScaler` is determined by the platform's `textScaleFactor` scalar, because the `scale` method is always monotonically increasing wrt `textScaleFactor`. ImageStreamCompleter no longer checks _hadAtLeastOneListener for disposal (#166797)
This PR removes the logic about `_hadAtLeastOneListener`, a boolean to check during `maybeDispose`. Add RoundedSuperellipseBorder and apply it to CupertinoActionSheet (#166303)
This PR creates a new class `RoundedSuperellipseBorder`, which is the main way to draw a rounded superellipse with filling and/or stroking. The new class is very similar to `RoundedRectangleBorder` and shares a lot of private code, therefore they reside in the same file. Add factory constructors for shorthands that would collide (#165597)
EdgeInsets and EdgeInsetsDirectional are subtypes of EdgeInsetsGeometry. The both have only, all, and symmetric constructors, which creates collisions in a world where Dart support shorthand notation such as: ```dart Padding( padding: .only(bottom: 10.0), ), ``` The same goes for all these classes: - AlignmentGeometry - Alignment - AlignmentDirectional - BorderRadiusGeometry - BorderRadius - BorderRadiusDirectional - BoxBorder - Border - BorderDirectional - EdgeInsetsGeometry - EdgeInsets - EdgeInsetsDirectional The shorthands feature is not planning to exhaustively check subtypes. However, these classes were identified as the most impactful for the shorthands feature (❗ ). Adding these factories in the super classes enables future shorthand support. Added semanticsIdentifier to Text Widgets (#163843)
This PR aims to add `semanticsIdentifier` to `Text` and some of its internal objects to pass the semantics information for adding identifier to the semantics nodes From the issue filed at #163842, the following is a description of the problem. The [semantics identifier](https://api.flutter.dev/flutter/semantics/SemanticsData/identifier.html) helps in uniquely identifying elements using UI automation tools like Appium, UIAutomator and XCUITests by setting identifiers that the screen readers cannot see but the said tools can. This is especially useful when working with a multi-lingual or multi-tenant app, where the element IDs need to be unique but the content can be different. The `Semantics` widget already has support for declaring it. However, the `Text` and `Text.rich` variants only support setting `semanticsLabel` without explicitly setting the identifiers. The widgets themselves can be wrapped with a `Semantics` widget but it still does not cater for a rich text that can have multiple text spans, each containing unique lables and identifiers, and optionally gesture detectors for handling links. Consider the following UI for two different tenants: <img width="229" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e8a24588-d94d-42fc-ba6c-ce39959207ae" /> Here, both the tenants utilise different strings to convey the same message. The structure of the message stays the same so the identifiers help in unifying the element identification process across the tenant apps in the automation tools without having to write another script for every other tenant. Check for a null codec in MultiFrameImageStreamCompleter after calling _emitFrame (#165009)

[Web] Allow specifying the strategy on when to use <img> element to display images (#159917)
This PR follows the discussion under https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/157755 and adds a flag to determine when `<img>` elements are used. By default the feature is turned off. Instead of just a boolean for on & off, I made it an enum to accept multiple options. Auto-format Framework (#160545)
This auto-formats all *.dart files in the repository outside of the `engine` subdirectory and enforces that these files stay formatted with a presubmit check. **Reviewers:** Please carefully review all the commits except for the one titled "formatted". The "formatted" commit was auto-generated by running `dev/tools/format.sh -a -f`. The other commits were hand-crafted to prepare the repo for the formatting change. Adjust ignores for 'dart format' (#160382)
When running `dart format` over these lines the `// ignore` ended up on a line where it wasn't properly ignoring the lint. This adjusts the placement of `// ignore`s so they will continue to ignore the right thing even after the code is auto formatted. I am hoping that if we do this now the large PR that formats the entire repo will go in smoother without manual intervention. |

When using `Image.network`, if the given URL points to an image that is cross-origin and not set up to allow CORS access, then we are unable to make a [ui.Image] from it. Update color assertions (#154752)
issue: https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues/127855 This is a forward fix to help https://github.com/flutter/engine/pull/54981 land.
